Rector of the Karl Landsteiner University visits MedAustron

On March 16 and 17, Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Andrea Olschewski, the new Rector of the Karl Landsteiner University (KL) of Health Sciences, visited MedAustron – the cancer treatment center is also a teaching and research site of the KL.

The program focused on scientific exchange, a look at joint future perspectives, and the deepening of the existing collaboration. During her visit, Rector Olschewski gained in‑depth insights into the key operational and research focus areas of MedAustron as well as the academic orientation of the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics. The main emphasis, however, lay on the joint discussion regarding the future design and further development of this partnership.


The visit concluded with an extensive tour of the center.
