Night of Research "Lange Nacht der Forschung"

Datum

On April 13, Austrian research institutes open their doors for the public  - over 2,000 stations can be visited throughout the whole country. In Wiener Neustadt, 70 stations at the Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, the Technologie- und Forschungszentrum (TFZ) and Diamond Aircraft provide insights into exciting research topics from 4.00 to 10.30 p.m. At the MedAustron station at the TFZ  we provide answers to the question »How can particle physics help in cancer therapy?«

ESTRO, the European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology, held a course on particle therapy in Vienna for Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Radiobiologists and RTTs from all over Europe last week. We were happy to welcome the participants at MedAustron!

On Friday afternoon, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Nila F. Moeloek visited MedAustron. Managing director DI Alfred Zens, MBA, and one of our Radiation Oncology Specialists, Dr. Carola Lütgendorf-Caucig, MPH, led the delegation through the facility and offered interesting insights into the medical and technical parts.

By officially launching the MedAustron project in 2007, Lower Austria opened the door to the future. To future cancer treatment. To a future of world-class research. To the future of the location Wiener Neustadt. On March 22nd, MedAustron invites you to looking back at 10 years of future, and looking ahead at our plans for the coming years.
